Roof Accident

How this works

What we are, what we aren't, and how we get paid

Roof Accident is a free service that connects people to independent attorneys. We are not a law firm, we do not give legal advice, and no one here is your lawyer.

That distinction matters enough that we put it on its own page instead of burying it in the footer.

What we are

Roof Accident is an advertising and referral service. We publish information about falls from height and we connect people who were hurt with independent attorneys who handle these cases.

We are not a law firm. We do not practice law, we cannot give you legal advice, and submitting the form does not create an attorney–client relationship with us or with anyone else. The attorney you're matched with is independent — we don't supervise their work or control their advice.

How we get paid

Law firms pay us a flat fee for advertising and for qualified referrals. The fee is fixed. It does not change based on what your case is worth, whether you win, or how much you recover, and it is never deducted from a settlement.

We mention this plainly because fee arrangements that scale with case value are prohibited between lawyers and non-lawyers under the rules of professional conduct in every state, and you're entitled to know which kind this is.

What happens to your submission

A person reads it — not a filter. We look at where it happened, when, who was involved, and whether the facts describe something an attorney in that state would take on.

If it fits, we send it to a law firm licensed in your state that handles construction and fall injury work. Usually within a couple of hours. They contact you directly, and from that point the relationship is between you and them.

If it doesn't fit, we email you and say so, with the reason. We'd rather tell you no than route you to someone who'll waste your time.

What we won't do

We won't tell you what your case is worth from a form submission, because nobody honestly can. We won't promise an outcome. We won't claim to be a law firm or let you believe you're talking to a lawyer when you're not. And we won't keep contacting you after you've asked us to stop.

Ready when you are

Two minutes, no cost, and you're free to walk away at any point — including after you've spoken to the attorney.
